The combishort is named after Dikalo. Dikalo means message in Duala/Sawa language from Cameroon. In various African culture (Sawa, Grassphields...) when a message needs to be shared to the community, a messenger walks in the streets, with a bell that he rings.

The combishort is made in bogolan prints fabric, with ndop prints spots. Bogolan comes from the Bamanan weavers of Mali (West Africa). The term is made up of two words: "Bogo" meaning "earth, clay" and "lan" meaning "made with". It refers both to a women's loincloth and to the ancestral dyeing technique used to create it. Ndop, also known as Ntieyar is a traditional fabric from Cameroon. It is handwoven and tie dyed in the Grassphields region of Cameroon.
The combishort has a zip in front and multiple pockets. It is made following your measurements (kindly provide them, check our size guide for directions) so it will fit perfectly.
